SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond is remaining tight-lipped on Joe Shaughnessy's future.
The former St Johnstone skipper impressed when playing as a trialist against Millwall on Wednesday night.
But Bond was not willing to give much away when asked if the centre-back would be returning to Roots Hall.
"There is no situation with him," said Bond.
"I’m not being secretive but it’s not just me to speculate.
"It’s clear that’s Joe is of interest to us otherwise we wouldn’t have brought him in to have a look at and I would agree he did well against Millwall."
