Close to making a return - Southend United defender Jason Demetriou
JASON Demetriou is closing in on a return for Southend United.
The 31-year-old right back has been out of action with a knee injury since April.
But Blues boss Kevin Bond is expecting Demetriou to soon be back in training.
“Jason will be joining in with us again in some form this week,” said Bond.
“He will look to push on after that.”
Demetriou had two knee operations last season and was restricted to 25 starts.
