SIMON Cox has set his sights on making history at Southend United this season.

Never before has the same player topped the Shrimpers scoring charts for four campaigns in succession.

But Cox is keen for that to change.

“I’ll be looking to get as many goals as I can and if I can become the first player to ever be top scorer for four seasons in a row that would be great,” said Cox.

“I have two main goals this season which I’ll be keeping to myself until I do them but it would obviously be great if I could get more than the 17 I scored last season.”

Cox, who has been top scorer for Blues in the past three seasons, will also make his 150th appearance for the club on Saturday.
