SOUTHEND United striker Stephen Humphrys wants victory against MK Dons tomorrow night to turn around the Shrimpers’ stuttering start to the season.
Humphrys scored twice in Blues’ 4-3 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
But he is now determined to see off the Dons in the second round of the Carabao Cup at Roots Hall to boost confidence ahead of Saturday’s League One clash with Rochdale.
“Being honest the League is the most important thing and we have to improve our position but I think victory on Tuesday can help us with that,” said Humphrys.
“We didn’t capatilise on the win at Stevenage in the previous round but we need a victory tonight to make sure we’re on the up going into the Rochdale game.”
