FORMER Southend United skipper Anton Ferdinand feels Adam Barrett should be the next Shrimpers boss.
Ferdinand followed Barrett as captain after joining Southend towards the start of the 2016/17 season.
But the 34-year-old is now keen to see Barrett become Blues boss.
Ferdinand tweeted: There’s only one man for the Southend job and that’s Adam Barrett.
"He’s what the club needs, he knows what it takes to play for the club and will bring stability!"
