TODD Bailey is hoping Rochford Hundred can take advantage of Guernsey’s long trip to Magnolia Road this weekend.

Rochford have triumphed in their opening three London & SE Premier Division games of the season.

And Bailey is keen to keep the good run going.

“Guernsey are always big boys so I expect the game to be very physical but they are a different side away than they are at home,” said Bailey.

“Naturally that traveling takes it out of you but none the less I’m sure it will be a hell of a match on Saturday and one not to be missed.”

Rochford will head into the game on a high after a 40-19 win at Bedford Athletic last weekend.

But Bailey was frustrated not to have secured a more convincing victory on his Hundred debut.

“It was a little bit frustrating,” said Bailey.

“It’s always good to get a win on the road of course but we left quite a few tries out there and the score should have been considerably higher.”

However, Bailey is already feeling at home with Rochford after making the switch from Southend Saxons.

“It’s been very easy to settle in,” said Bailey.

“I knew most of the squad anyway and some of my closest mates are there so it’s nice to be back playing with the boys, even if it does mean listening to some of the same old boring chat, naming no names of course!”

And Bailey is also confident of helping Rochford to secure more success this season.

"It’s a very strong squad we have and so I would hope for a top three finish as a minimum," said Bailey.

"But realistically we should be pushing for promotion."
