WESTCLIFF’S hopes of a first win of the season have been hit by the Rugby World Cup this weekend.
Westcliff head to Bournemouth - the only team below them in the National Two South table - tomorrow.
But hooker Billy Morrant revealed Westcliff will be missing players who have headed out to Japan to watch the action close up.
“It’s going to be tough as it is every weekend, especially as we are missing a few key players who have gone to Japan to watch the World Cup,” said Morrant.
“However, we are feeling confident that we can get the first win of the season over a team who haven’t got any points so far.”
Westcliff have taken five points from their first five games of the season following their promotion from the London & SE Premier Division last season.
