BOWERS & Pitsea claimed three valuable points thanks to a 2-0 Isthmian Premier League victory over Potters Bar Town.

Rob Small’s side went on the road looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats.

And Brad Warner netted either side of half-time to ensure Bowers came out on top.

Concord Rangers and Great Wakering Rovers were condemned to defeats on the road against a duo of high-flyers.

In the National League South, Concord fell to a 3-0 loss against table-topping Wealdstone.

Jacob Mendy, Ross Lafayette and Michael Phillips were on target as the Stones, who are managed by former Billericay Town boss Dean Brennan, went six points clear at the summit.

Mendy broke the deadlock five minutes after the break and two ex-Billericay players combined as Wealdstone doubled their advantage.

Billy Clifford found Lafayette, who volleyed home with 20 minutes remaining.

Having already seen Connor Stevens frustrated by a David Olufemi goal-line clearance, Phillips wrapped up all three points with a fine solo effort.

Wealdstone finished the clash with 10 men as Stevens saw red in injury time.

Meanwhile, Wakering lost 4-2 to Heybridge Swifts in the Isthmian North.

Swifts were two goals ahead inside five minutes thanks to Alex Teniola and ex-Canvey Island midfielder Harrison Chatting.

Jack Stevenson halved the deficit soon before the hour mark.

Although Teniola struck again, Dan Walker got his name on the scoresheet on his return to Heybridge.

But Teniola completed his hat-trick 60 seconds later.

Canvey Island were consigned to a 3-0 defeat by Histon at Park Lane.

Max York gave Histon a 19th minute lead from the penalty spot and Simon Swinton doubled the visitors’ advantage three minutes later.

Dan Brown grabbed Histon’s third goal soon after the interval.

Canvey ended the contest with 10 men as Mike Finneran was sent off.

In the Essex Senior League, Southend Manor drew 1-1 with bottom side Sawbridgeworth Town.

Jordan Chambers put Manor in front from the penalty spot, but Harry Bushell ensured a share of the spoils.
