ELVIS Bwomono wants this to be the week Southend United’s hard work starts to pay off.
The Shrimpers will visit Burton Albion tomorrow night before heading to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
And right-back Bwomono is keen for Blues to finally end their wretched run of results.
“We’re working so hard in training it’s pretty much pre-season we’re doing at the moment and hopefully that’s going to start paying off for us now,” said Bwomono.
“It was frustrating we didn’t have a game at the weekend but we have two coming up this week and hopefully we can do it again to start closing the gap on the teams above us.”
Blues are currently 11 points from safety and sit second from bottom in the League One standings.
