SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell will not be cancelling Christmas for his Shrimpers squad.
Bristol Rovers boss Graham Coughlan threatened to abandon his side’s festive celebrations when they trailed Blues 2-0 at half-time on Saturday.
But Campbell, whose side are struggling towards the foot of the League One table, will not stop his players’ festivities.
“I think you’ve always got to have something,” said Campbell.
“We just have to make sure we fit it in and that it’s the right moment.
“I think you always need a Christmas party but we just have to find a day that doesn’t affect anybody.”
The Shrimpers, who entertain Rotherham United at Roots Hall tomorrow, are currently second from bottom in the standings and have won just once in League One outings so far this season.
