JAMES Scogings feels Westcliff face an ‘interesting’ clash with Bury St. Edmunds in National Two South tomorrow.

Westcliff were beaten 53-17 by the Suffolk side in their first away game of the season.

But Scogings is confident Westcliff will be able to show how much they have improved.

“This weekend’s match will be interesting,” said Scogings.

“Since playing them at their place we have adapted our defence to deal with the threats they pose which should allow us to play the type of free-flowing rugby we are used to.

“The season itself is still looking promising for us.

“Granted there have been some games which haven’t gone our way, but we have also shown we are more than capable of producing great results against teams above us.”

Westcliff, who were promoted last season, sit 14th in the table with Bury St. Edmunds in ninth place.
