HADLEIGH & Thundersley take on Thurrock League champions Stanford-le-Hope in a play-off at Chelmsford tomorrow night.
The winners will then qualify for the Essex finals in January.
Hadleigh warmed up for the big game by beating Rankins by six wickets in their first game of the new Premier domestic season.
Rankins made 86-2 with Hale retiring on 26.
In reply, brothers Mike (26) and Paul Tibbenham (25) both retired. Steve Board (unbeaten on 10) and Paul Baker (16 not out) got the winning runs.
Hadleigh, who won last season's Southend Indoor Cricket League Premier Division last year, won with 86-0 off 7.1 overs and collected 16 points with four going to the losers.
Southend Trinity are the early pacesetters after grabbing 17 points for their two-wicket win over Southend.
Southend made 99-3 with John Horne 33 not out and Andy Calloway unbeaten on 28.
Jon Cook (28) and Zak Dunkley (27 not out) led the Trinity reply as they totalled 100-4.
Southend picked up nine points.
