ROCHFORD Hundred will resume their push for a third successive promotion when they host Bedford Athletic in the London & SE Premier Division.

Rochford sit second in the standings, two points behind table-topping Guernsey.

And fly-half Cameron Greenhall cannot wait to get back in action after the Christmas break.

“We’re excited to get back out there and start 2020 off well too,” said Greenhall.

“We had one week of rest over the Christmas break and we had individual work which had to be completed before the New Year.”

Bedford are currently 10th in the table but Greenhall feels they will be tough to beat.

“Bedford were a good side when we played them earlier on in the season so we won’t be taking them lightly,” said Greenhall.

“We, as a group, believe promotion is more than achievable and that will be our aim.

“It’s very close towards the top but we’re well placed.

“We won’t be looking too far ahead though and all we’re focusing on at the moment is the game this weekend and making sure we play well.”
