SOUTHEND Swifts' under-15 boys were in South Confer-ence home action against Brentwood Fire and lost 66-62, failing to maintain their unbeaten record.

Joe Hart led his team with 32 points, but this was a disappointing performance for Swifts as they led for 38 of the 40 minutes.

This weekend sees a slightly calmer playing schedule for the club. On Saturday the under-16 girls have a league match at West Herts Warriors and the under-18 girls a cup game at Chiltern Pumas.

The under-18 boys face a league trip to Harrow Pride and the senior women travel to London Westside.

On Sunday there is a solitary home fixture with the under-16 girls meeting high-flying Reading Rockets. The game is at FitzWimarc School with a 12.30pm start.
