Waving goodbye - Tom Hopper is close to joining Lincoln City
SOUTHEND United striker Tom Hopper is close to sealing a switch to Lincoln City.
The Imps are currently in talks with the Shrimpers forward after having a bid - which Echosport understands to be £150,000 - accepted by the Roots Hall hierarchy.
And the move could well be finalised within the next 24 hours.
Hopper has netted 10 goals in 30 appearances for Blues and an Echosport poll - which attracted more than 1,800 votes - saw 84 per cent of fans agree the club were right to cash in on the 26-year-old before being likely to lose him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
