ECHOSPORT talks to Doncaster Rovers fan Gareth Law ahead of tonight’s game.

What have you made of Doncaster’s season so far?

“After joining the club late in pre season and, after a slow start, Darren Moore has started to implement his style on to the team.

"After starting the season passing well but with very little purpose at times we have become more progressive in recent performances.

"Couple that with an added solidity at the back, five clean sheets in seven, and performances are starting to improve.”

What were the hopes for this season and what do you feel can still be achieved?

“After losing in the play-offs last season we lost key players through the summer.

"John Marquis made a big money move to Pompey, Tommy Rowe left for Bristol City and Wilks and Kane returned to their parent clubs after very successful loan spells.

"We knew those players would be difficult to replace but a play off bid again this season was definitely still the objective.

"We currently lay four points outside the play-off zone with two games in hand on some of the teams above us so the hopes are well and truly still alive, although with the very thin squad we have injuries and suspensions could play their part late in the season if reinforcements are not brought in later in the window.

Who would you say is the dangerman?

“Although he doesn’t start every game these days at 39 years old, James Coppinger is still the key to our attacking play.

"His vision and awareness is key to unlocking defences as Southend fans know all too well! If he is not to play the talisman at the back Tom Anderson has been key to the recent water tight defensive record.

What’s the team news for Tuesday?

“Top scorer Kieran Sadler missed Friday’s game with a broken nose and concussion suffered in the previous game so he will be assessed.”
