ECHOSPORT talks to Peterborough United fan Tomasz Kamieniczny ahead of tonight’s game.

What have you made of the season so far?

“Good at first, but the usual blip during Christmas has cost us, especially with key players being out. We had to solve that problem in the January transfer window and strengthened nicely with players like Jack Taylor and Sammie Szmodics.”

What are the hopes for the rest of the season?

“I think being in the play-offs is the main priority. Sure, we’re not far from the automatic places, but teams will catch up to us with their games in hand. We’ve just got to focus on what we’re doing and hopefully we’ll get play offs.”

What has been the main reason for the recent winning run?

“We’ve recently switched formations from a 4-4-2 diamond to a 3-4-1-2 due to the lack of depth we’ve had in the midfield area before bringing reinforcements in like Reece Brown, and it’s worked since.

“Also dropping Mo Eisa and getting Sammie Szmodics in on loan plays a big factor, he’s been fantastic in the last six games.”

Who would you say is the dangerman?

“Ivan Toney for sure. A decent shout is Sammie Szmodics, however Toney will be the danger man. Ivan knows where the goal is, since he’s got 21 goals in the League, but he also brings a lot to the defensive run of play and it’s someone that we haven’t had for a long time at Peterborough.”

What’s the team news?

“Nathan Thompson will be suspended for the game, due to a second yellow card against Oxford. Frankie Kent may be out as well due to a knock but everyone else is fit”

Predicted line up: Pym, Mason, Beevers, Bennett, Butler, Taylor, Knight, Ward, Dembele, Toney, Szmodics
