SOUTHEND United are facing a goalkeeping crisis following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Coventry City.
Shrimpers shot-stopper Mark Oxley limped off with a thigh problem four minutes from time at Roots Hall.
And 18-year-old Callum Taylor - who made his debut when replacing Oxley - is now Blues boss Sol Campbell’s only option between the sticks.
“It’s a thigh problem for Mark Oxley but we’ll have to see how it is,” said Campbell.
“It could be a week or a few days or a few weeks we don’t know yet.
“Maybe we could get an emergency loan keeper in. I’ll have to find out if there are any offers and if we can do it. I’m not sure if we can do it.”
Blues allowed goalkeeper Nathan Bishop to join Manchester United last month while Harry Seaden is still sidelined with an injury.
The Shrimpers are back in action tomorrow night when they host Gillingham at Roots Hall.
