SOUTHEND United goalkeeping coach Lee Harrison has invited Tyler Marshall in for training after the youngster designed his own goalkeeping gloves to help the NHS.

The budding shot-stopper - who plays for Southend United’s shadow squad as well as Ashingdon Youth - drew up the plans to include rainbows which are currently being used to spread cheer amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And, after seeing the story in the Echo, Harrison has now asked Tyler to visit Blues' Boots & Laces training ground as soon as is possible.

"It's great what Tyler has done," said Harrison.

"He has an invite to come in and train with the first team goalkeepers as soon we we are back up and running."

Tyler's designs are being made into gloves by PL1 goalkeeping and can be oredered by visiting or by call 07920826461.
