EREN Kinali and Richard Taylor have both had their contracts extended at Southend United.

The duo both made their first team debuts for the Shrimpers this season.

And Echosport understands they have now had clauses in their contract activated meaning their deals will now last until the end of next season.

Winger Kinali, 20, has came through the ranks at Roots Hall after signing in the under 15s and made six senior appearances for Sol Campbell’s side after being named in the squad for 16 of the last 17 games.

Centre-back Taylor joined Blues last summer after being released by Burnley and has made three senior appearances for Southend.

However, the 19-year-old has not featured since December.
