LEAGUE One clubs are believed to have been given two options on how to end the current campaign.
The sides have been out of action since early March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And it is understood clubs will now vote on whether or not they want the remaining matches to be played or for the League table to be decided on a points per game ratio.
The vote is due to take place next week but both options will see the Shrimpers relegated.
Sol Campbell’s side are currently second from bottom in the table, 16 points from safety with nine games to go.
