DANNY Cowley is the bookmakers’ favourite to be the next Bristol City boss – just hours after leaving Huddersfield Town.
The former Concord Rangers boss was relieved of his duties by Huddersfield this afternoon, just two days after leading the Terriers to a shock 2-1 win against promotion chasing West Bromwich Albion.
But, despite the victory securing Championship safety, Town opted to make a change and the former PE teacher at FitzWimarc School is now looking for another club.
Echosport has been inundated by Southend United fans wanting Cowley to manage the Shrimpers.
But the 41-year-old is likely to attract interest from a number of clubs with Bristol City, who are 11th in the Championship.
