SOUTHEND United have received more than 60 applicants to replace Sol Campbell as manager but among the most surprising has to be World Cup winner Fabio Grosso.
The 42-year-old won 48 caps for his country during his playing career and scored the winning penalty in the World Cup final against France back in 2006.
Grosso also lined up for Internazionale, Lyon and Juventus before moving into coaching.
The Italian has managed Brescia, Hellas Verona, Bari and has also coached within the youth set up at Juventus.
