SOUTHEND United's squad are still waiting to discover when they will start pre-season training, Echosport understands.
The Shrimpers have not trained together since the start of March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And, despite several lower League clubs having since returned to training, Blues' players have yet to be told when to report back.
Southend will kick off their League Two campaign on the weekend of September 12 but chairman Ron Martin has yet to appoint a new manager.
Sol Campbell left the club at the end of June but he has yet to replaced.
Barnet boss Darren Currie and Blues' under 23 coach Craig Fagan remain the favourites for the role.
