SOUTHEND United are keen to bring midfielder Jack Bridge back to the club.
The 24-year-old came through the youth ranks at Roots Hall before leaving in 2018.
But Blues chairman Ron Martin has confirmed Bridge could be returning to the Shrimpers.
"Jack Bridge paid us a visit earlier in the week," confirmed Martin.
"Jack, now 24, had been with us from the age of nine.
"He always showed great promise but disappointingly left under Phil Brown.
"Hopefully we can agree terms for Jack to rejoin his home town club where he belongs."
Bridge made 11 appearances for the Shrimpers before going on to play for both Northampton Town and Carlisle United.
However, Blues will not to able to register any new signings while they remain under a transfer embargo.
