WEYMOUTH insist they are fighting to keep manager Mark Molesley at the club Molesley is in talks with Southend United and the Shrimpers remain keen to make the 39-year-old their next boss.
But, in a club statement, Weymouth confirmed they were keen to keep hold of Molesley who has guided the Terras to back to back promotion.
The statement said: "Weymouth football club's board of directors can confirm that manager Mark Molesley is in talks with Football League side Southend United.
"The club are doing their utmost to persuade Mark to stay at the club."
The Shrimpers, who are back in League Two next season, have been without a manager since Sol Campbell left at the end of June.
