BILLERICAY Town boss Jamie O’Hara has got goose-bumps watching his side prepare for the forthcoming season.

O’Hara has added two new signings to his squad, bringing in winger Luke Wanadio and centre-back Lewis Knight.

And O’Hara is excited by how things are starting to shape up at New Lodge.

“We’re back now and obviously we’re keeping within the guidelines but it’s been really impressive so much so I got goose-bumps watching,” said O’Hara.

“It’s my first pre-season as manager.

“I was appointed in November but this season it will be my team with the players I wanted and seeing it take shape is really special, especially on the new pitch.

“It’s just really hit home that we could have a really special side and have a good season.”

O’Hara has been busily assembling a new look squad for the National League South side.

And he is thrilled to have brought in Knight, a towering defender who was with Maidstone United last season “He’s tall and commanding,” said O’Hara.

“We definitely needed some height as well because we struggled not having that last year.”

Further forward, O’Hara has also signed former Dartford winger Wanadio and it is another new face which excites the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.

“Luke played in all Dartford’s play-off games and was pretty much the star man so to get him over the line is brilliant,” O’Hara.

“Things are really starting to take shape and we’re looking really strong.”

But O’Hara is still looking to make more signings.

"We will still bring in a few more and we will be looking to use the loan market too," said O'Hara.

"Paul (Konchesky) and I will be using our contacts there but we will still have a few coming in on permanent deals."
