SOUTHEND United duo Jordan Green and Emile Acquah both had to be taken off after picking up knocks during the defeat to Morecambe.
The Blues attackers were substituted during the second half.
And boss Mark Molesley confirmed both changes were enforced.
"Jordan suffered an injury on his ankle," said Molesley.
"He took a nasty couple of whacks off the ball so he was struggling from them really.
"He tried to run it off in the second half but he couldn’t.
"Emile took a knock as well so we’ve lost a couple of players but hopefully they’re only knocks.
"We’re unfortunate with injuries at the moment but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves and it gives opportunities to other people."
