SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley has confirmed his backroom team with the Shrimpers.

Tom Prodomo, who worked closely alongside Molesley during his time at Weymouth, hasbeen brought in as assistant manager.

But Molesley has now added to his staff.

Anton Robinson takes over as head of recruitment, Jamie Wells has been named as first-team coach, Joe Prodomo has joined as goalkeeper coach and Sam Hall is the new first-team analyst.

Molesley said:“I know their characters very well and I know how hard-working and diligent they all are.

“It’s not just on the pitch, they really go above and beyond off the pitch.

“They will live and breathe this football club and work hard every day for it.

“To create the right culture you’ve got to surround yourself with the right people with the right attitude and work ethic, and set the standard.

“We want to set high standards and first and foremost we’ve got to look at ourselves and lead by example.

“We’ve got to make sure we’re outworking everyone we can, and we’ve certainly brought the right people in who will do that.

“We’re on a constant journey of self-improvement. Can we be better than yesterday? To do that we try and have a multiple discipline approach.

“We really value the work of everyone that gets involved, whether it’s sport science, physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition, technical and tactical.

"With the staff we've brought in and the great staff that were here already, we tap into all of those areas.

"We’re trying to leave no stone unturned and support the players as best we can.”
