THE busy schedule continues for non-league sides after a delayed start to the season, reports Leon Imber.

National League South action starts tonight as Billericay Town host Tonbridge Angels.

And Jamie O’Hara’s side will need to pick themselves up and change their fortunes after their penalty shoot-out defeat to Brackley at the weekend.

Concord Rangers' clash at Dulwich Hamlet has been postponed but, in the Isthmian Premier, Bowers and Pitsea welcome Lewes as they look to continue their great form in the league which currently sees them sitting top of the table on goal difference.

Bowers have scored nine goals in their last two games.

Elsewhere, in the Isthmian North Division, Hullbridge Sports head to Heybridge Swifts, in hope of consolidating their spot at the top of the league.

Darren Manning’s team have been resolute both in attack and defence so far this season, as their 3-0 victory against AFC Sudbury showed, and more performances like that will be the aim.

Canvey Island play hosts to Maldon and Tiptree and it looks to be a tightly fought contest.

Mark Bentley’s side have been in very good form so far this season, and their opponents have yet to taste defeat, so the outcome is hard to predict.

To round off Isthmian North action this week, Great Wakering Rovers and Basildon United clash in a meeting of two Essex sides.

The freshness in the legs due to a lack of action on Saturday may be advantageous for Basildon, but the Great Wakering camp will be brimming with confidence after trouncing Romford 3-0.

It was Stephen Butterworth’s team’s first three points of the season and will be looking to make it two on the bounce against a struggling Basildon side.

Essex Senior League action involves Hashtag United hosting St Margaretsbury and Southend Manor facing Ilford.

Both the Tags and Manor suffered defeat at the weekend and will be desperate to return to winning ways.
