KYLE Taylor is relishing his blossoming midfield partnership with Jason Demetriou at Southend United.

The on loan Bournemouth youngster has impressed in the centre of the park since signing for the Shrimpers.

And Taylor is enjoying lining up alongside the more experienced Demetriou.

“It’s great and we all know how experienced he is,” said Taylor.

“The very first time I walked in the changing room he came over and introduced himself too.

“That goes to show what type of person he is and his experience helps me too.

This is only my second loan and I’ve got nowhere near as much experience as him so it can only help having him next to me.

“He’s great to play alongside but most importantly he’s a great person too.”

Taylor has made three appearances for the Shrimpers so far.

And he feels settled in the area, despite still living in a hotel.

“I’m in a hotel at the moment which can be difficult at times when you want to eat certain foods and things like that but it saves me doing any washing up and cleaning!,” said Taylor.

“I knew a few of the boys from before so I’ve been eating with them a bit and I’ve settled in well.

“The lads have all been good with me and it’s been easy to settle in.”
