SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley feels Simeon Akinola is still a few weeks away from making his Shrimpers debut.
The 28-year-old has yet to feature for Blues since signing in mid-September.
And Molesley will not be able to call upon the forward against Cheltenham Town this weekend.
"He’s still a few weeks away with a persistent injury," said Molesley.
"We’re close to breaking the back of it but he’s another one we need to be careful with.
"He’s due to be back in training soon but he will need to be training for at least a week before we can look to involve him."
