SOUTHEND United boss Mark Molesley insists Harry Lennon is 'fine' to keep playaing through the pain.
Lennon has put off a calf operation to line up at the heart of the Blues' back four for the last two League games.
And Molesley is again expected to select Lennon against Cheltenham Town at Roots Hall tomorrow.
"We will monitor it daily and weekly but he's getting stronger with every game and he’s looking fitter and stronger," said Molesley.
"He’s shown what a difference he makes but we will monitor it.
"Hopefully we will do our best to avoid him needing the surgery but it’s in the back of our minds that it might need to be done.
"But at the moment he’s coping fine."
