SOUTHEND United boss Mark Molesley will carefully manage his squad during a hectic run of fixtures.

The Shrimpers have five games in the next 14 days, starting with tomorrow's trip to Salford City.

And Molesley will have to pay extra attention to his squad.

“We’ve got to manage each game on its merits and we have to keep checking in on the players,” said Molesley.

“We’re going into unchartered territory a little bit with the number of games we have coming up.”

Shrimpers duo Jason Demetriou and Harry Lennon are both managing injury issues.

And Molesley is already checking their fitness.

“At the moment they’ve shown up well in the games and they’ve hit good physical data,” said the 39-year-old.

“We will probably have to rest a few bodies and be clever in balancing out training, the games and the team selections to get everyone through the best we can.

“But at the moment everyone is available.”
