SOUTHEND United left-back Nathan Ralph will discover the extent of his knee injury early next week.
Ralph was stretchered off during the Shrimpers' 3-0 defeat at Salford City on Tuesday night.
But Blues boss Mark Molesley is still waiting to find out how serious the setback will prove to be.
"Nathan is having a scan and seeing a specialist at the same time next week," said Molesley.
"We were going to scan him at the earliest opportunity but early next week he’s going to simultaneously have a scan and see a specialist.
"It’s another one tough one to take though.
"Nathan has been fantastic ever since we walked through this door.
"He’s been a fantastic player and a great person to have around the team too.
"It’s a bitter blow but we’re still waiting on the results and we will see what that brings."
