CONCORD Rangers and Canvey Island are both through to the first round of the FA Cup after exciting victories this afternoon.

Canvey saw off Cray Wanderers 3-2 at Park Lane after making a bright start to the game.

Evans Kouassi put the Gulls in front early on before he doubled his side’s lead with another well worked goal after just 10 minutes.

Conor Hubble made it 3-0 just 12 minutes later but Mark Bentley’s side had to withstand a second half fightback from the visitors.

Joseph Taylor scored from the penalty spot on the hour mark before Lee Lewis netted seven minutes later.

But Canvey held on to make it through to Monday night’s draw where they will be joined by Concord who beat Chippenham Town 2-1.

Concord opened the scoring five minutes before the break with Temi Babalola on target but the visitors equalised in the 68th minute as Ross Stearn fired home.

However, Concord hit back and bagged a dramatic late winner eight minutes into stoppage time with Danny Green hitting the back of the net.
