BILLERICAY own made it two wins from two matches with their 2-0 win against Slough Town at the New Lodge this weekend, reports Leon Imber.

Jake Robinson was yet again on the scoresheet for Jamie O’Hara’s men with Jai Reason also on target.

There was plenty of action in the match despite the half time result being 0-0.

Slough were reduced to 10 men just before the interval as Ryan Bird was given his marching orders.

That gave O’Hara’s side a sizeable advantage going into the second half and it was an advantage they seized.

Robinson netted with a great finish just a minute after the restart and Reason compounded the visitors’ misery in the 84th minute with an excellent strike from 25 yards.

The home side’s lineup included striker Billy Knott, who has joined Town on a short term dual registration from Bowers & Pitsea.

Knott has scored five goals in the Isthmian Premier Division so far this season, and so adds plenty of attacking threat to the Billericay side.

The consecutive victories have launched Billericay to 13th in the standings and now their poor start to the season seems a distant memory.
