CONCORD Rangers host Dorking Wanderers this weekend while Billericay Town visit Maidstone United, reports Leon Imber.

Both matches are tough test for the Essex sides.

Concord lost 1-0 to Braintree Town on Tuesday night, a poor result for the Beach Boys who are now just two points from the single relegation zone in the National League South.

Their opponents for this weekend are flying high in third position in the league table and have picked up 16 points from 21 available so far this season.

Jason Prior is the league’s joint top scorer with seven goals to his name and so will be the obvious threat against Danny Scopes’ men this weekend.

Billericay go into this round of fixtures with seven points acquired from their last three matches.

Their opponents, Maidstone have enjoyed a good start to the season though which could threaten Jamie O’Hara’s side’s recent good form.

The Stones have picked up 14 points from a possible 24 this season and sit six places above Town going into the match.

The hosts beat previously mentioned Concord 6-0 just weeks ago and it is that kind of form that they need to return to having not been victorious in their last two outings.

O’Hara’s Billericay have now proven that they can perform against the teams among them and below, but now must face the test of better opposition to really challenge their upturn of results.
