SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley remains hopeful Blues’ transfer embargo is close to being cleared.
The Shrimpers boss is still unable to call upon striker Simeon Akinola and left-back Sam Hart due to the restrictions in place at Roots Hall.
But when asked if the situation would soon be sorted, Molesley said: “We’re hoping it’s close.
“We have some good players waiting to come in.
“The landscape can look different very quickly but we have to make it look different as quickly as we can.
“That comes from hard work, not giving up and keep on believing.”
Chairman Ron Martin has previously told Echosport the embargo would be cleared this week and Blues remain in transfer talks with an experienced striker.
“We’re hoping that’s close too,” added Molesley.
