BILLERICAY Town's next two matches have been postponed after a positive coronavirus test in their playing squad.

Town had been due to take on Chelmsford City in National League South tonight.

But the game has been called off along with the match at Dartford on December 12.

A Billericay club statement said: "The club have had confirmation of a positive coronavirus test amongst the playing staff. In accordance with the relevant regulations, players and staff are required to self-isolate.

"As a result, the club is unable to participate in any football activity until Sunday 13th December. This means tonights fixture with Chelmsford City, and the game at Dartford on 12th December have been called off and will be rearranged at a later date.

"The club wish all those involved well during their isolation, and would like to thank Colin Peake and David Humphreys at the National League for their assistance with the issues that have arisen."

Billericay are currently 15th in the table.
