SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley feels Richard Taylor has all the attributes needed to impress in attack.
Taylor - who is normally used in defence - started on the right wing at Stevenage this afternoon.
And Molesley believes the youngster has what it takes to pose problems further forward.
"Richard is a centre half by trade but in our situation at the moment sometimes you need to think outside the box," said Molesley.
"He’s got really good attributes to be a forward thinking player.
"He’s quick, he’s athletic, he’s good in the air and has a good left foot.
"We need to make the best of what we’ve got around us."
Taylor also featured in an attacking role when coming off the bench at Bolton Wanderers.
