SOUTHEND United manager Mark Moleslety felt it was 'big' for Blues to keep a second successive clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 win against Scunthorpe United.
Not since May 2018 have the Shrimpers kept two clean sheets in a row.
And Molesley was pleased to see his side shut out the Iron.
"It’s big for us and it’s probably been our problem," said Molesley.
"We’ve played some excellent football sometimes but we’ve ended up conceding sloppy goals and you’re out the game before you can really get into it.
"The longer the game goes on 0-0 we’re always in it and that’s shown.
"We had a clean sheet at Walsall too so we’re certainly improving but I always knew we would because the players were working so hard in training."
