Southend United fans have their say on win against Scunthorpe United

Great to be back and watching in person, topped off by a hard working display from the boys. Hobson was immense in defence, Macca bossed the midfield and Hart ran himself into the ground. Big three points which we need to back up with a result against Grimsby.

Gutsy performance with defence looking very solid, Macca excellent again, and Hart a great addition. Rode our luck at times after we’d scored, but a great finish by Olayinka to win the game. Great to be back at the Hall, and hopefully a turning point in our season .

After a long wait it was great to be back at the Hall. This was a battling performance and not pretty at times. We looked solid at the back and scored with the best move of the game. Good to see both Akinola and Hart start the game. The atmosphere at the Hall was excellent.

So good to be back. Not one for the purists but who cares, will take these games from now till the end of the season to keep us up. Hobson’s best game in a Blues shirt yet and MOTM for me. Ron somehow always manages to escape right at the last minute.

Absolutely amazing to be back at Roots Hall to support the lads in person. Great to see Akinola and Hart in the line up. Every player battled hard throughout the 90 minutes no messing about at the back which was great to see. A well deserved win to back up the performance.

Scrappy affair...draw probably a fair result given the sitters Scunny missed at the end. Just delighted to be back in Roots Hall and the win was a bonus.

Rode our luck as Scunny had some good chances but it was a great move and emphatic finish for the goal. Was great to be back in the North Bank and cheering on the Blues to a WIN!!! Hobson, Hart, Clifford and Macxa were all immense.

As fans, all we can even ask from the players is to work hard. We got that and a whole lot more. Every player to a man worked so much, and it was such a good feeling to get that win. Delighted for MM who deserves this more than anyone. Hobson absolutely superb.

Not a classic but looked far more cohesive and won more ball in the air than I've seen. Macca rock solid. Hart added up the left and goal well taken though they hit post and missed a sitter. Now work on (pathetic) throw ins and Ox's distribution. A good day.

Big three points & delighted for MM. After the Exeter game performances nosedived & he panicked. Got back to basics over last few weeks, we are competitive and organised and with some decent additions we have a chance. Creating/taking chances still a problem but one enough on Saturday.

Great to be back and the team seemed to be lifted by the support. A hard working performance designed to make us hard to beat, and great to get the goal and win. Still need to improve the creativity and goalscoring threat. Hart, McCormack, Dieng outstanding.

First half good, second half a scrap But positives a clean sheet, embargo gone and fans back (who were great by the way). Chairman now must back the manager in January. Players need to come in to give squad depth and more quality. If that happens with more fans coming back we have a shot.

Thought the starting line up was spot on. Good balance on the left with Hart at LM and Clifford at LB, Hobson was solid and looks like our defensive problems are getting ironed out. A good team performance and happy we took one of few chances we had, we are all behind you MM!

A hard working team effort giving the faint glimmer of hope that we could get ourselves out of this. Delighted for MM, let’s hope the belief grows and with the embargo gone we can have a better 2021. There were only 2,000 of us there today but the atmosphere was crackling.

Nice day as a blues fan. Great to see the team news and learn of embargo lifted. So good to be back in the ground. Supporters were great and positive. Team battled so hard, plenty of room for improvement but all that matters is the win. McCormack so critical for Blues.

I was happy just being back but they’ve made it even better with three points! Four points from safety looks a lot better and with the embargo gone, Hart and Akinola brought fresh air to the club and were both very impressive. Bring on Tuesday night and hopefully we can keep this up!...
