JAMES Olayinka helped Southend United pick up a 1-1 draw at Mansfield Town despite not being at full fitness.
The on loan Arsenal midfielder fired the Shrimpers in front with a fantastic effort in the first half.
But Blues boss Mark Molesley revealed Olayinka is playing through the pain with groin problems and could be heading back to his parent club for an injection.
"We’re having to wrap him up in cotton wool to get him playing games," said Molesley.
"He’s not getting much training in and has got an issue with his groins.
"He’s going back to Arsenal to get it checked out and might have an injection.
"You can see the discomfort he’s in during games sometimes.
"He’s trying to rally through it but he couldn’t last any longer on that pitch and had to come off."
