ALAN McCormack and Tom Clifford both suffered injury setbacks during Southend United's 1-1 draw at Mansfield Town this afternoon.
Left-back Clifford went off with an ankle issue in the first half before McCormack had to be substituted after the break with a calf problem.
But Shrimpers boss Mark Molesley does not know the seriousness of the injury setbacks at this stage.
"Macca’s calf has gone a little bit but hopefully it’s not too serious," said Molesley.
"It’s tightened up and we just have to be so careful with him.
"With Tom, it’s a nasty one.
"He’s been trod on the back of his ankle and it’s hit a nerve.
"He’s in a boot at the moment and we will have to assess it further after the weekend once it settles down."
