BRUNO Fernandes and David de Gea are among the Manchester United stars to have praised former Southend United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
The former Shrimpers shot-stopper has signed a new deal at Old Trafford which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.
And a number of his United team-mates have now taken to social media to praise the 21-year-old.
Fernades wrote on his Instagram story: “Well deserved kid! Top lad and amazing professional.”
Red Devils goalkeeper De Gea added: “Well deserved,” while midfielder Juan Mata added: “Well deserved. Top guy and a top professional. Well done.”
And midfielder Scott McTominay said: “This makes me happy seeing this. What a professional.”
Bishop made 39 appearances for the Shrimpers before joining the Premier League giants in January 2020.
