SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley has dismissed rumours he is keen on signing Hayes & Yeading winger Omar Rowe.
Reports in the national media suggested the Shrimpers were the leading the race to sign the 26-year-old.
But Molesley is not looking to bring Rowe to Blues.
"I do know of him with our non league connections and he’s a good talent but no, he’s not one we’ve pushed for in this window that’s for sure," said Molesley.
"I’m not sure why we’ve been linked with him but he’s a good player.
"He’s been doing really well and I’m sure there’s interest but for us in this window we’re looking at the here and now.
"We need people with a bit of experience if we can although things are always subject to change.
"It has to be the right fit.
"January is a tough window but we’re looking for that bit of quality and experience."
