GREG Halford has signed a new deal to keep him at Southend United until the end of the season.
The 36-year-old made five appearances for the Shrimpers during his initial month long deal.
But Halford has now extended his spell until the end of the season and is pleased to be remaining at Roots Hall.
“I’m delighted to be staying and to know where I’m going to be playing my football for the next four months,” said Halford.
“Hopefully I'll get many more games under my belt and help the team move up the table.
