JASON Demetriou looks set to return for Southend United against Bradford City on Tuesday night but 10 other players could miss out.

Demetriou missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Mansfield Town after having an injection in his knee.

But Blues boss Mark Molesley expects to welcome back the experienced midfielder to take on the Bantams.

"It's good news where Jason is concerned and he's had a small injection in his knee," said Molesley.

"He had one at the start of the season which worked really well and he’s had another one now.

"He’s done a lot of mileage for us this season and done ever so well.

"Another reason why we wanted to bring in another midfielder was to share the load for him and Alan McCormack.

"We need to look after those types of players because they’re so important to us."

Elvis Bwomono (back) and Greg Halford (shoulder) both face late fitness tests before Tuesday night's game after picking up injuries against Mansfield while Alan McCormack is expected to miss out with a calf injury after also having to go off against the Stags.

James Olayinka (ankle), Terrell Egbri (hamstring) and Brandon Gooship (rib) are all still out while Timothee Dieng will serves a one match suspension against his former side after being sent off on Saturday,

Long term absentees Nathan Ralph (cruciate ligament), Harry Lennon (knee) and Lewis Gard (cruciate ligament) all also unavailable.
