SOUTHEND United suffered four injuries during this afternoon’s 5-1 defeat at Port Vale.
John White and Sam Hart were both forced off in the first half before Elvis Bwomono made way at half-time.
Simeon Akinola also pulled up late on but boss Mark Molesley does not know the seriousness of the setbacks at this stage.
“Whitey injured his foot and Harty his adductor,” said Molesley.
“Elvis has been struggling with his back and Sim injured his hamstring late on.
“It was a bad afternoon for us but it’s too early to tell exactly how bad the injuries are.”
